terra cottage cheese Sush and Mother Nature YPD medium Sometimes art is life. This piece was was a collaboration between Sush and Mother Nature. Sush made and sterilized a bottle of YPD, a rich medium used for growing brewers yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). While she was using this medium, Mother Nature added an inoculum of unknown life form. The creature has grown to form a landscape that is at once foreign and familiar. The cycling photos at left recall the dynamic nature of this piece. |
